Vendor finance is where financing, technology and distribution converge to enable growth.Richard de KEIJZERHead of Sales BPCE Equipment Solutions Benelux

Europe’s biggest priorities — energy transition, digitalisation and industrial resilience — all have one thing in common: they require continuous investment in real assets. And increasingly, those investments are enabled through vendor ecosystems.

Since joining BPCE Equipment Solutions, what has stood out to me is how central important vendor finance has become in enabling businesses to invest — not just as a finance solution, but as a wholly  integrated part of the commercial offering. We are seeing three structural shifts in equipment finance:

Firstly, the transition towards a circular and sustainable economy is accelerating asset renewal cycles. Manufacturers and their finance partners are playing a critical role in helping customers upgrade their equipment faster, improving efficiency and reducing emissions.

Secondly, AI and digitalization are reshaping both the assets being financed — from automation to advanced infrastructure — as well as the way that the financing is delivered. Vendor finance is becoming more embedded, data-driven and seamlessly integrated into the customer journey.

Thirdly, the shift towards the “as-a-service” model is fundamentally redefining ownership. Financing is moving closer to usage, performance and lifecycle – making vendor partnerships more important than ever.

At the same time, our industry faces a clear challenge: how to innovate at speed whilst maintaining discipline. Shorter technology cycles, evolving residual values and increasing regulatory complexity requires strong asset expertise and robust risk management.

At BPCE Equipment Solutions, we believe vendor finance is a key enabler of this transformation. By combining scale with proximity, we build strong partnerships with manufacturers and distributors, allowing us to offer seamless financing solutions at the point of sale.

Because ultimately, the future of equipment finance will not be defined by standalone financing — but by how well it is integrated into the broader ecosystem.

Vendor finance is where financing, technology and distribution converge to enable growth.
